Our physicians are nationally known, and we continue to be on the leading edge of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and both participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance the state of care for retinal diseases. Join our team members working for our nationally recognized retina specialty practice in a fast paced, high volume ambulatory surgery center.This is an on-site position working at our front desk in an ambulatory surgery center for ophthalmology and Retina Offices in Sacramento, CA. This is a full-time position (schedule Mon-Fri). Although you must be able to work independently, you will be working directly with physicians, patients, and all staff. Collaboration and being a team player are essential to the success of this role.Responsibilities Assists surgeon in the operating room. Sterilization During surgical procedures All equipment in the operating room Ensures accurate and complete documentation related to the case.RequirementsBasic Life Support Healthcare Provider.Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile environment, aseptic technique. equipment and supplies.Strong follow-through skills and ability to proactively identify and solve problems.Strong interpersonal, patient service, and multi-tasking skills. Physical Requirements:Sitting and viewing computer screen for extended periods, up to 25% of the timeKeyboarding for extended periodsStanding or walking, up to 90% of the timeLifting, reaching, and bending, oftenClose visual acuity required to perform duties such as viewing computer monitor, and determining accuracy and thoroughness of workReliable transportation
