First-timers are not accepted. Weekends are required once a month with a total of 16 hours of obligation. On-call duty is required as needed for the department. The clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs. Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager. All time off must be reviewed and approved by the manager. Candidates must be in the state 3 business days prior to compliance for fingerprinting requirements. Required workflow setting experience includes General OR, Teaching Hospital, and Trauma. Required case skills/experience include: - Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT): Direct Laryngoscopy, Clientl neck dissection, Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, Tracheostomy - Endoscopic Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, PEG tube placement/exchange - General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection - Open/LAP, Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy (partial/total) - Gynecology: Abdominal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior repair, Bilateral tubal ligation, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, Vaginal Hysterectomy - Neurosurgery: Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion - Oral: Repair of fractured jaws, mandibular and zygomatic - Orthopedic: Arthroscopy, Arthrotomy, Carpal tunnel release, Closed/Open reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/discectomy - Plastic Surgery: Free Flap - Microvascular - Trauma: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries) - Urology: Cystoscopy, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Nephrectomy, Ureteroscopy - Emergency Management Skills: Fire Safety - Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Skills: Drills (multiple types), Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords - Professional Knowledge and Skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Clienttion Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure Teaching hospital experience is preferred. The unit covers a range of patient cases except for eyes and cardiothoracic. Additional unit details include interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Patient diagnoses encompass various conditions, and special equipment includes advanced robotics and multiple microscopes.
