Job Title: Support Services Associate
Department: Guest Services

Status: Seasonal (FT & PT)

Reporting To: Support Services Manager


Position Overview:


The Support Services Associate is responsible for providing the highest quality

service, resort and local information and efficient processing of products in the following areas, but

not limited to, tickets, season passes, lessons, rentals, retail sales, adventure activities, special

events, and Powder Haven products & services. The Associate conducts all business functions over

the phone, email, and computer via Chat and POS systems. The Specialist performs their duties in

accordance with Powder Mountain policies and service guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide stellar service and communication to public-at-large by fostering relationships, anticipating guest needs, enhancing trip itineraries by providing personalized service and guiding guests to the best products and services
  • Fully understand Ticket, Season Pass, Lesson, Rentals and Adventure product offerings and reservation process to ensure accurate and efficient bookings
  • Comply with Powder Mountain policies and credit card management
  • Answer and resolve guest inquiries and grievances in a timely and effective manner; raise any elevated issues to the Support Services Manager immediately
  • Utilize Powder Mountain’s systems responsibly including, but not limited to; POS systems, Axess, Paylocity, Gmail, Google Drive, as well as other apps and services
  • Deliver professional communication via phone calls, email, chat service with accurate and timely information to all stakeholders (Guests, Neighbors, & Colleagues)
  • Stay abreast of current pricing periods, product offerings, dynamic information, road and lift openings/closures, with terrain & expansion updates
  • Implement, promote and embrace Powder Mountain’s Mission, Values and Service Essentials, and policies and procedures
  • Provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • 1+ year proven POS experience. Preferably within the ski or recreational industry
  • Proven experience in a high-volume sales role
  • Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to adjust strategically in a dynamic work environment
  • Microsoft, Excel, point of sale systems experience required
  • Flexibility in availability to meet seasonal demands
  • Highest level of professional integrity and communication skills
  • Provide exceptional guest service
  • Adhere to all Powder Mountain Policies and Procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 30lbs+)
  • Sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time and in inclement weather
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis and in conjunction with one another
  • Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements

Working Environment:


Work is primarily performed in an indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and

electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outdoor climate in which team

members will be exposed to a variety of temperatures/weather
