Purpose: Five Star Bank's Summer Associate Program is designed to develop the next generation of financial services professionals to help us advance our vision of being an independent, high-performing community bank. As a Retail Administration Summer Associate , you'll be immersed in the operational and administrative functions of our retail banking division. You'll assist the Retail Administration team in managing branch operations, process improvements, and internal controls to help deliver a seamless banking experience for our customers.
Responsibilities: Assist in supporting branch operations through transaction processing oversight and operational compliance Support the administration of retail banking products and services, including account maintenance and documentation Help monitor internal controls and compliance with regulatory policies within retail operations Collaborate with branch and administrative staff to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency Assist with data entry, reporting, and analysis related to branch performance and customer service metrics Participate in special projects focused on enhancing the retail banking experience and operational effectiveness What We're Looking For: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Candidates must be available to work a hybrid work model, 40 hours per week for the duration of the program starting in June. Occasional travel within corporate footprint (Buffalo and Rochester) will also be required. At least 1 year in one or more club(s), volunteerism efforts, or other activities outside of the classroom Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is a plus Interest in retail banking operations and customer service Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and serve in every facet of work.

Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
