Responsibilities Directly supervise the activities of 2 or more full-time employees (e.g., Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), and Customer Service Representative(s)). Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service. Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the store clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-kept according to Company standards. Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisor. Schedule employees within Company guidelines to meet business needs and maximize customer service and store image. Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating and separating employees. Develop positive relationships with suppliers; resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain regular, predictable onsite attendance. Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community. Prepare ongoing performance appraisals in Workday, including 30-, 60-, 90-day, 12-month, and anniversary check-ins; provide performance-based feedback. Train all employees to meet customer service, store image and marketing execution standards; train on safety procedures and promote safety awareness. Mentor and train employees on cash handling and risk reduction; ensure timely completion of required training. Communicate effectively with the team; establish periodic communications meetings with store staff and the District Manager. Develop action plans to meet store objectives; organize store files and manuals; ensure accurate and timely reporting. Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly; ensure employment posters and signs are accessible. Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize sales and net profit; budget and forecast P&L lines; manage merchandise margins; safeguard and account for cash. Notify District Manager of any sales, cash, inventory or operating discrepancies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 to 2 years of retail experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred. Ability to supervise and train staff per CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions; ability to supervise and manage listed functions. Proficient computer skills for reporting, inventory, cash control and employment forms. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation; open availability; ability to operate a motor vehicle. English communication skills (oral and written); ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below. Certificates & Licenses: Food Server certificate (e.g., ServSafe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required. Physical Requirements Work a minimum of 50 hours per week; occasional walk-in cooler/freezer exposure; outdoor exposure. Occasionally lift/carry up to 30 pounds (ground to overhead) and up to 50 pounds (ground to waist). Constant hand, arm, and finger use; reach, bend, twist; push/pull up to 20 pounds; overhead reaching; sit for long periods as applicable; operate cash register/computer keyboard. May require climbing a ladder; ability to stand/walk for entire shift; communicate effectively; may work alone; occasional noise. Work Environment 50 hours per week; shifts including weekends and holidays; indoor work predominant with duties like cleaning parking lots and pumps. Possible exposure to extreme temperatures; occasional noise; minimal supervision with some direction.
