Seeking Experienced Ski / Snowboard salesperson for winter sports shop!

Gunstock Ski & Sport is in search of an experienced salesperson who is both knowledgeable and passionate about snowsports and the gear/equipment involved. We are committed to creating the best possible buying experience for our guests. We are a team of genuine and approachable salespeople who work together to create a welcoming, informative, and service-oriented approach to ski/board equipment sales. Products include skis, ski boots, ski bindings, helmets, bags, outerwear, snowboard equipment, and accessories. Successful candidates are able to demonstrate and explain product features and benefits in a persuasive manner and drive sales by consistently delivering outstanding product knowledge and guest service. Ability to remain focused and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume retail shop required.

Scheduling requires 20-40 hours/week of availability, with weekend and evening availability. We have seasonal, full- and part-time positions available. Weekends and working around winter holidays is required. Don’t worry, you will get to ski!

Positions scheduled to begin the end of October/early November.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of individuals to help every customer we come into contact with
• Consciously strive to improve upon knowledge base and expertise with regards to product information
• Give educated, un-biased advice to assist in customer purchases
• Resolve customer-related issues quickly, efficiently and happily
• Look for new ways to go above and beyond the expectations of our customers
• Perform merchandising duties: folding, hanging, and displaying product
• Help with daily opening/closing tasks, and maintain the sales floor throughout the day

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older with high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior sales experience required
• Proficient knowledge of hard goods, including skis, boots, and snowboards preferred.
• Must be able to frequently more 25+lbs
• Excellent customer service skills required
