We are currently seeking a part-time industrial facilities operator to provide staffing coverage and support maintaining a closed landfill facility. This position will include working approximately 10 – 40hrs per month performing site inspections, maintenance activities, and general housekeeping. The position specifically includes working weekend and holiday hours as needed; two (2) weekends a month is generally expected and may include every weekend if desired, shifts range 2 – 4hrs, which can be flexible to the time of day of your preference. System monitoring and troubleshooting

General mechanical skills

SCADA system monitoring

Collection of water samples

Chemical handling

Subcontractor oversight

Recordkeeping and tracking - other tasks as assigned Desired Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in a related position preferred

Experience working in an industrial setting

Must be reliable and prepared for designated shift

Ability to embrace and promote Health and Safety requirements.

Ability to be trained in tanker truck loading wastewater

Must be mechanically inclined and willing to work with their hands

Must be self-starting and able to work independently

Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Ability to walk slowly around sites of varying size that may have areas of uneven, muddy, and/or rocky ground to perform inspections and take photographs.

Ability to work for short periods of time in extreme temperatures including heat and cold.

Ability to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc.

Ability to remain alert and vigilant while working around equipment and be able to walk swiftly for a short distance to clear an area where a potential hazard is identified.

Ability to climb stairs (2-3 flights) or ladders (up to 24 feet typically) to access structures for visual inspection.

Ability to lift objects on job sites less than 50 pounds

Position requires holiday and weekend availability

Position requires enrollment in a random drug testing program Salary Range:  The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
