The Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor provides the tools and resources necessary to foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and employee development in order to protect shareholder investment and operational capacity. Continuous process of improvements plant wide to include: processes, cost efficiency, reduce waste and management of department. The Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor advocates sound maintenance business practices to support mill operational processes to produce a quality product within budget that meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports the business strategies and goals of the mill, division, CMCA and CMC. What You'll Do Work to ensure all steel is manufactured to CMC specifications and safely in a timely manner Communicate with fellow workers and supervisors about possible production issues, concerns, and needs Troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others (pulpit operator, process manager, maintenance personnel, etc) Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed Leading effective crew meetings at start of shift. Include any safety, quality or production communications applicable. Foster positive employee relations in order to attract, develop and retain high performance teamsfocused on employee engagement, leadership development, performance alignment to CMC objectives, and change management for accountability. Drive results with team members through accountability and performance feedback What You'll Need Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred Work rotating shift which includes weekends and holidays Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
