Banquet Server Opportunity at Norman Embassy Suites The Norman Embassy Suites, located at 2501 Conference Dr Norman, OK 73069, is seeking a full-time Banquet Server. Banquet Associates are the backbone of our meeting and event operation. The primary purpose of the Banquet Server/Setup is to provide our guests with an exceptional banquet experience. Witness and work with various groups hosted in our convention center, where no day is the same. Work Performed: Set up/break down banquet meeting and conference space per Banquet Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements, table linens, table settings, center pieces, dishes, audio-visual equipment, and all other event provisions. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces before, during, and after events. Maintain communication with the guest contact person, Banquet Captains, and the Banquet Manager for guest needs and provide excellent guest service to all clients. Serve all food and beverages to guests per company standards. Observe Cleveland County Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation. Observe Cleveland County and Oklahoma State guidelines for service of alcoholic beverages. Manage audio-visual equipment during events. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management or Human Resources. All other work as required to complete the primary purpose of this position. Qualifications Required Licenses/Certification: Cleveland County Food Handler Certification Oklahoma ABLE Liquor License TIPs/RServing/ServSafe Alcohol or equivalent alcohol server certification acquired upon hire during onboarding. Preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Physical: Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to bend and squat repeatedly. Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the scheduled shift. Availability: Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
