Food Server Assistant The Food Server Assistant is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact. Assist servers in their tasks such as setting tables, serving food, refilling glasses, and cleaning tables Ensure clean and hygienic dining areas Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens Provide excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience Help customers with their special requests and dietary restrictions Assist in the kitchen when necessary by preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes Resolve customer complaints and relay them to the manager or server if needed Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items Assist with restaurant opening and closing duties Pay Hourly Range - $21.00-$27.00 Qualifications: Previous experience as a Server Assistant or similar role in a restaurant Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask and prioritize Physical stamina and mobility required for constant movement High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Primary Location: US-NY-New York City Organization: Park Hyatt New York Pay Basis: Hourly Job Level: Full-time Job: Bars/Restaurants/Outlets Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
