Server Assistant - Peak New York

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports servers by ensuring tables are clean, reset quickly, and service flows smoothly. Greets guests warmly and works as part of the team to maintain a welcoming, organized, and clean dining environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
Keep tables, chairs, and surrounding areas clean and reset efficiently.
Assist with water service and help run food when needed.
Stock and maintain side stations throughout the shift.
Help with table setups and support service flow, including marking tables for upcoming courses.
Follow sanitation and safety guidelines, including Department of Health standards.
Attend pre-shift meetings and assist with opening/closing duties.
Report any broken or damaged items to management.
Stay positive, helpful, and professional throughout service.
Respond to Guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
Adhere to all The Company Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain all The Company Sequence of Service Standards
Ability to communicate in English with Guests and co-workers
Keep the area clean and free of debris throughout shift
Keep area organized
Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
Maintain Company Safety and Sanitation Standards
Disposes trash in designated receptacles
Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Inform Management of any complaint, comments, or incident
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Tao Group Hospitality in-venue Server Assistant training
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
Previous hospitality experience.
Previous Server Assistant experience.
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.

• Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during long shifts.
• Comfortable working in busy, loud, and fast-paced settings.
• Must be reliable, team-oriented, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Must have good positive energy throughout the day
Must be able to bend, kneel, and/or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to move quickly
Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume
Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors
May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
Exposure to cleaning materials

Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
