Mental Capacity: Skills, learned abilities, training, experience, and knowledge. •Maintains a Guest First focus while performing all duties •Inform guests of specials and menu changes. •Make specific beverage, appetizer, entre and dessert recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. •Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. •Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our POS system. •Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. •Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members •Be able to work in a fast paced restaurant environment •Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions. •Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a POS system.
Physical Capacity: Stamina, physical demands, energy, and tenacity. •Be 18 years of age. •Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter. •Provide proactive beverage refills •Pre-bus tables between each course. •Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas. •Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable). •Bus your section's tables immediately upon guest departure. •Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members in any way possible as situations arise. •Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment •Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. •Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
Emotional Capacity: How you relate to others. •Welcome and greet all guests and make them feel comfortable as if they are a guest in our own homes. •Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. •Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience •Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. •Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests. •Active Listening- giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. •Speaking- talking to others to convey information effectively •Social Perceptiveness- being aware of others' reactions and understanding why the react as they do. •Hospitality Orientation- actively looking for ways to help people. •Reading Comprehension- understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents •Coordination- adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
