Position overview We are a global software engineering firm delivering cutting-edge data, analytics, and AI solutions across industries, including Retail & Consumer Goods. We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive growth in our Retail & Consumer Goods vertical. In this role, you will leverage our data and AI expertise to address industry-specific challenges—from enhancing customer experiences to streamlining supply chains and driving customer loyalty—for major retail and CPG clients worldwide.

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will act as a trusted advisor to our retail and consumer goods clients, helping them transform operations and unlock critical insights through data-driven innovation. This is a global role, collaborating with cross-functional teams across our international offices to deliver value to clients. Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the Retail & Consumer Goods sector, focusing on data analytics and AI-driven solutions that solve industry challenges (e.g., customer personalization, supply chain optimization, omnichannel integration).
Business Development: Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities. Build a robust pipeline by targeting and engaging retail/CPG prospects, converting leads into long-term clients.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key client executives (CXO and VP-level). Serve as a trusted advisor regarding innovative, outcome-focused data/AI offerings, and influence decision-makers by articulating how our solutions can support their strategic goals.
Industry & Domain Expertise: Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the retail and consumer goods space—such as digital consumer engagement, supply chain disruptions, and AI innovation—and translate this knowledge into tailored value propositions.
Solution Selling & Proposals: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure. This includes qualifying opportunities, coordinating with technical teams on demos/POCs, and leading proposal development. Ensure proposals clearly convey the business value of data and AI solutions in the client’s context.
Negotiation & Deal Closure: Drive contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients, aiming for win-win agreements. Successfully close deals to meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and profitability goals.
Thought Leadership & Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our Retail/CPG data & AI solutions and gather market intelligence. Actively network within the industry (including partner ecosystems) and contribute to marketing initiatives and thought leadership content.
Requirements Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales or IT consulting business development, with a proven track record of selling complex, project-based solutions (long sales cycles, high-value deals) and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Industry Expertise: Significant experience in the Retail and/or Consumer Goods domain. Demonstrated success in engaging and selling to retail/CPG clients, with established relationships at senior executive levels in the industry. (An existing network of contacts such as retail CIOs, CDOs, or business unit leaders is highly desirable.)
Sales Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with superb presentation and negotiation abilities. Adept at consultative selling—able to translate complex technical solutions into clear business benefits for stakeholders at all levels.
Results Orientation: Highly self-motivated and goal-driven, with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Capable of independently developing account strategies and driving them to success.
Nice to have Consultative & Strategic Selling: Demonstrated ability to engage in consultative sales, asking the right questions to understand client needs and crafting strategic solutions. Skillful in presenting complex technical concepts in a compelling, easy-to-understand manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
