Senior Pharmacy Technician Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift The Acute Care Pharmacy Technician III is well versed in multiple areas of inpatient pharmacy technician areas. Work responsibilities include collecting medication histories for emergency department or newly admitted patients, and direct patient interaction. Technicians work closely with pharmacists and providers to validate and verify medications patients are taking prior to admission and document the medication list in the medical record. Other pharmacy technician duties include all other areas of an inpatient pharmacy such as filling and transporting medication to nursing units in a prompt and accurate manner, as well as mixing sterile and non-sterile preparations. Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician. Or Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. 1 year Retail pharmacy experience or medication history technician experience Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
