Primary Purpose The Senior Media Planning Manager is an expert in digital media and omni-channel planning. They develop and maintain strategic communication plans and media recommendations for various clients and objectives. They drive workflow with flawless quality, ensuring agency deliverables to clients meet or exceed expectations and are delivered on time. The Senior Media Planning Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the media planning department, including designing, developing, and executing digital media and advertising plans. Duties and Responsibilities Manage a team of media planners to ensure strong collaboration with Sales, Account Management, Ad Operations, Clients, and agencies by advising and recommending optimal media strategies for campaign performance and reach, focusing on annual and quarterly planning. Coordinate with account and creative teams to communicate changes to plans and inform media planners of updates. Evaluate media opportunities, present media plans, and provide strategic direction when media options do not meet targets. Guide media planners in analyzing web metrics, preparing monthly campaign performance reports, and recommending optimizations to enhance media effectiveness. Oversee digital media billing through monthly tracking reports and invoice reconciliation. Lead a team of media planners and yield analysts responsible for maximizing campaign impact. Monitor campaign tactics, manage budgets, control pacing, and oversee timelines for all media campaigns. Negotiate media buys, pricing, and placements with vendors and CPGs. Develop presentations and communications for media recommendations to ADRM leadership. Establish methods and procedures for new media planning assignments. Preferred Qualifications Strong project management and leadership skills; highly organized with the ability to multitask across projects. Experience in managing, coaching, and developing team members. Ability to resolve issues proactively to mitigate risks to media plans. Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities. End-to-end planning mindset to deliver scalable and effective media strategies. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with implementing new tools and technologies. Ability to interpret data and provide insights for media strategy development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Self-motivated, independent, yet team-oriented. Proven ability to solve complex problems and implement best practices. Knowledge of team development, management, and coaching.
