As a Capital One Sr. Manager Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a major transformation within Capital One. What You’ll Do: Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of experienced developers in distributed microservices and full stack systems to meet regulatory needs.

Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, mentor peers, and occasionally code or review code.

Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance experiences for millions of Americans.

Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience (internships excluded)

At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Minimum 4 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree

9+ years in JavaScript, Java, Python, or AngularJs

3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services

4+ years in open source frameworks

7+ years of people management experience

2+ years practicing Agile methodologies
