Senior Manager, Retail – Beverages & Merchandise at Crunch Fitness. Location: Dallas – Flexible/Hybrid. Reports to: Vice President, Innovation & Experience. Status: Exempt.
Your Impact
As the Senior Manager of Retail – Beverages & Merchandise, you will spearhead strategy, category development, and operational execution for Crunch’s retail business. You will lead the beverage, accessory, and apparel categories across all club formats and channels—driving incremental revenue, brand affinity, and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role within the Innovation & Experience team, perfect for a results-oriented leader who thrives at the intersection of merchandising, technology, and franchise operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall retail category strategy across beverages, branded merchandise, and accessories aligned with Crunch’s brand and business goals.
Own the full product lifecycle—from sourcing and pricing, negotiation, SKU set-up to launch, sell-through, and markdown management.
Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to support unified commerce pilots and rollouts (BOPIS, ship-from-store, dynamic pricing).
Define and own the execution of retail planograms, merchandising standards, and club-level experience.
Category & Vendor Leadership
Build and manage high-performing vendor partnerships to deliver value and velocity across hydration, supplements, and Crunch-branded gear.
Partner with Legal and Finance on contracting, pricing terms, and promotional commitments.
Continuously analyze category performance, identify whitespace opportunities, and optimize assortment by region and channel.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with Field Operations, Franchise Business Partners (FBPs), Marketing, Training, IT, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless retail readiness.
Educate and enable franchisees with onboarding materials, sell-through playbooks, and monthly insights.
Serve as the day-to-day liaison between club teams and vendors to maintain operational excellence and inventory integrity.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
Define and track KPIs including SKU velocity, attach rate, inventory health, shrink %, BOPIC adoption, and NPS.
Deliver monthly performance dashboards and insights to executive stakeholders.
Test and refine promotions, pricing, and planograms using A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail category management, merchandising, or omnichannel operations.
Proven success in launching and scaling beverage, CPG, or fitness/wellness categories across brick-and-mortar and digital.
Strong analytical acumen and comfort working with SKU-level and dashboard data.
Exceptional vendor management and negotiation skills.
Prior experience in franchise or multi-unit retail environments strongly preferred.
Passion for health, wellness, and fitness is a big plus.
Preferred Tools & Skills
Working knowledge of POS, MMS, PIM/OMS, and retail analytics systems (e.g., NetSuite, Shopify Plus, Manhattan OMS).
Familiarity with 3PL, ESLs, planogram tools, and BOPIC logistics workflows.
