Learn how we are making a difference in people’s lives today! **Job Description** This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Indiana, in executing the Department of Defense (DoD) Digital Modernization & Transformation Strategy. This successful applicant will provide Information Technology (IT) support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana. NSWC Crane’s mission is to provide acquisition engineering, in-service engineering and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare and special warfare weapons. The successful applicant will be a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization who is able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. This position is for a proposal for future work. Resumes are limited to two 2 pages each. A signed Letter of Intent is required. **Key Responsibilities** + • Installation, configuration, and management of Linux servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and related distributions• Server and system administration support to include planning, designing, engineering, installation, configuration, documentation, maintenance, data protection, data recovery, and monitoring of workstations, servers, storage solutions, and associated elements• Applying patches, system updates, and ensuring compliance with relevant STIGs• Developing and documenting Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for system configuration and operation• Providing support for system upgrades, application migration, and system integration• High Performance Computing (HPC) support services including: administration, monitoring, and maintenance of HPC clusters, servers, storage arrays, high performance workstations, and associated elements **Required Qualifications** + US Citizenship + Active Secret clearance + Requires 5-10 years of demonstrated proficiency + Seven (7) years of full-time professional experience working with the configuration, deployment, and operation and maintenance of Linux server operating systems. + At least five (5) years specific experience in managing Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu. + At least two (2) years administering High Performance Computing Clusters. + At least (2) years of professional experience in Linux administration in Cloud environments. + Shall possess an IAT III 8570.01 baseline certification.
