DPP is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
Work arrangement: Onsite in Columbia, SC during training; partial onsite after training.
W2 position; 6 months
Job summary: Operates within an Agile Scrum environment, participating in standard Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups.
Collaborates with team members to discuss production issues, prioritize tasks, and coordinate action items.
Handles action requests involving system enhancements and configuration changes by analyzing both front-end and back-end code.
Works with Spring MVC and JSP to understand and improve UI behavior.
Utilizes jQuery for troubleshooting and enhancing client-side interactions.
Investigates server-side logic using Spring Data JPA and Hibernate to ensure efficient data access and integration.
Provides production support by monitoring logs, diagnosing issues, and deploying fixes using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Splunk.
Applies full-stack development skills to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Collaborates with QA and DevOps teams to maintain system stability and support future releases.
Documents technical findings and resolutions to support ongoing improvements.
Team overview: Part of the eServices portal group, which includes three Scrum development teams of approximately six members each.
Currently focused on Spring framework upgrades and user-facing enhancements.
Maintains a collaborative, positive, and team-oriented culture.

Minimum required work experience: 8 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Required education/equivalencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 12 years without a degree)
Other requirements: Candidates who are foreign nationals must have resided in the US for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years prior to assignment to the client's applicable government contract.
