Senior Field Service Technician (Remote) This exciting role will be responsible for overseeing the complex equipment service operations, major installations, and customer support across North America and occasionally internationally. A solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, plus the ability to work independently in dynamic, customer-facing environments will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in Salem, OR and are looking for someone based out of South Carolina to oversee the projects and clients in the Eastern US. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of grinding, screening, milling, and conveying equipment and complete systems for a variety of industries. If you are an individual who loves to work in client-facing roles and handles major equipment installations as well as troubleshoot existing equipment, this role could be for you!Responsibilities:
Technical Service & Troubleshooting
Lead advanced repairs, troubleshooting, and system optimizations
Oversee complex equipment installations
Resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Customer Support
Serve as the primary contact for high-level service needs
Help customers with planning for spare parts, upgrades, and maintenance planning
Deliver on-site training and technical support
Documentation & Process Improvement
Develop service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and support materials
Recommend service process improvements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ Years of experience in field service, assembly, or industrial equipment support is required
Comfortable with 70-100% travel to client sites for equipment installs and troubleshooting/repairing faulty equipment around the United States, occasionally internationally as well
Strong mechanical/hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting skills
Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Able to read blueprints, equipment manuals, BOMs
Welding/fabrication experience a plus
Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
Class C driver’s license and valid passport are
Ability to climb, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in various environments
Must follow safety protocols and wear required PPE as needed
Strong English communication and documentation skills
Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond to urgent needs
Proficient with CRMs, Microsoft Office, and Adobe tools
Must meet background, driving, and drug screening requirements
Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in industrial environments
Salary Range:
$80,000-92,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm (unless traveling)
