This position primarily involves defending clients in general and premises liability cases, along with product liability matters in New York, New Jersey, and federal courts. The firm represents a diverse range of clients, including senior living facilities, healthcare providers, building owners, and manufacturers of FDA-regulated products. Duties: Take and defend depositions. Conduct legal, medical, and scientific research, collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies. Draft detailed memoranda, motions (including motions for summary judgment), discovery documents, and pleadings. Write reports for clients, such as deposition summaries, medical record analyses, and case valuations. Work closely with expert witnesses and coordinate their involvement in cases. Participate in trial, mediation, and ADR preparation and planning. Represent clients in courtroom appearances, including oral argument of motions and discovery conferences. Maintain a minimum of 1900 billable hours annually. Requirements: 6-10+ years of first-chair deposition and courtroom experience in general/premises liability and/or product liability.
