About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of the legal department, providing expert advice on a wide range of legal matters. This includes product counseling, and the intricate process of contracting and negotiating for the global network rollout of innovative financial technologies. The role demands a professional who can ensure that the company's products are developed in a thoughtful, responsible manner, and in full compliance with the ever-changing regulatory landscape. The Senior Counsel will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle, from conception to launch, and will be instrumental in creating legal frameworks that support the company's mission.

Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should have a JD from a top-tier accredited law school, with at least 5 years' of experience in handling complex commercial transactions. In-house experience at a technology company, particularly in the financial services or crypto sector, is highly valued. The role requires a deep understanding of commercial contracting, financial services laws, and regulations related to crypto, blockchain, payments, and consumer protection. Familiarity with open payment networks and Layer 2 blockchain technologies is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strategic communicator, capable of distilling complex legal concepts into clear guidance, and will have a proven track record of balancing legal risk with business needs. A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment are essential.
