As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with a variety of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This position requires the use of technology such as alarm panels and access control systems, as well as comfort with computers or tablets. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 08:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 08:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with security-related inquiries and directions. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the facility. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements. Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
