Security Officer - Government Site - Part Time

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a government site in Denver, CO. This part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service. This role may require you to ride a bike to efficiently cover assigned areas and interact positively with the public.

Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM Thur 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site-specific procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to ride a bike as part of job duties.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
