As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site - Afternoon Shift in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service while interacting with visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other security-related incidents. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist customers and employees as needed and help to deter disruptive behavior. Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
