Old Sturbridge Village is looking for Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to help with our signature holiday programs, Phantoms by Firelight and Christmas by Candlelight. Come join the team that makes memorable experiences for all our visitors Seasonal Retail Sales Associates will provide an excellent customer service experience to Village visitors in the Miner Grant, Ox & Yoke mercantile, or concession stands spread through the Village. Candidates must be available Friday evenings, Saturday day or evenings, and Sunday day or evenings to support the signature programs. This is a non-costumed position. This position ends December 31, 2025. Essential Duties: · Provide the best experience for all customers · Provide product information, assist in customer selections, and offer visit-related information to all customers and prospective customers both in-person and on the phone in a friendly manner. · Accurately ring sales in POS system and maintain security procedures. · Basic cash handling skills · Serve hot and cold beverages, cookies, cafe items, and concession snacks. · Promoted diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. · Promoted diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. · Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: · Must have excellent customer service skills, be courteous, efficient and possess a positive attitude -Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences · Ability to stand for 5 hours and lift 40+ lbs. · Ability to work in various conditions--inside or outside as needed. · Minimum 3 months customer services or retail sales experience preferred · Strong interpersonal, phone skills and ability to sell merchandise · Ability to maintain a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume, high stress or unusual events · Ability to comprehend and follow directions, and work in a team environment · Must be reliable transportation, punctual, and accountable · Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
