Overview:

As a member of The Ripken Experience Retail team you will be required to assist with the operation of our on-site merchandise store. The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge is a state-of-the-art sports complex located in Pigeon Forge, TN. Ripken Baseball specializes in youth baseball tournaments bringing teammates, coaches, and families together through our Big League Experiences.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the retail team, you will work directly under the Retail Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Efficiently process sales transactions using a POS system. Maintain a high level of customer service, assisting customers both on and off the sales floor. Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise on the sales floor. Maintain a clean, sanitary environment within the retail shop. Assist our Food and Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager, and Operations Staff as needed. Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for tournament participants. Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand. Qualifications : Minimum 1-3 years working experience required Outgoing and friendly personality, strong initiative, and high-energy Excellent communication skills Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve Ability to multi-task, efficient time-management skills Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills Ability to work in a team environment with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude Reliable transportation Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions: Routinely required to work extended hours of time including weekdays/nights, and weekends Stand for long periods of time Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, dust and particles, and loud noises
