Assistant Store Manager Job Category: Thrift Stores - All Positions Location: San Rafael, CA 94901, USA Position: Assistant Store Manager, Retail $19.57 per hour Full-Time/Benefited - DOE/DOQ Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience Ability to operate POS/Cash Register and schedule/supervise store employees Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry Effective communication with management, employees, customers, and donors Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs Ability to operate a telephone Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store Assumes responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager Provides coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees Ensures customer/donor needs are met by maintaining good relations; complaints are resolved; and service is quick and efficient Coordinates daily morning and shift change team meetings in the absence of the Store Manager Supervises employees in performance of duties to ensure compliance with published directives and guidelines Provides training for new personnel on store policies and procedures by The Salvation Army Position Involvement Includes: Merchandising, BRP (Back Room Processing) Personnel Issues, Time and Attendance, Employee Training Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
