Overview Sales & Business Development Expert (Retail SaaS) – Mid-Level (Remote) at Iterate.ai. Iterate.ai is an innovative enterprise AI application platform provider that builds secure, low-code, and agentic AI solutions to help large organizations innovate faster. We are expanding in the retail sector and seek a results-driven sales and business development professional to drive growth in retail.
Key Responsibilities Drive Retail SaaS sales: identify, target, and secure new enterprise SaaS deals within the retail industry (e.g., beauty, apparel, automotive, heavy equipment). Develop a robust sales pipeline and convert leads into wins.
Leverage industry connections: use an extensive network of retail contacts to open doors with key decision-makers (C-level and VP-level) across retail sectors. Participate in industry events and organizations to generate opportunities and raise Iterate.ai’s presence.
Consultative selling & presentations: understand client challenges (omnichannel, AI-driven personalization, Generative AI/Agents, marketing and social applications) and demonstrate ROI and business value via product demos and tailored proposals.
Collaborate & strategize: work with product, marketing, and solutions engineering to craft proposals and proofs-of-concept addressing retailer needs; provide market feedback to shape product roadmap and GTM strategies for retail.
Achieve revenue targets: manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, maintain accurate forecasting and reporting in the CRM, and meet or exceed annual quotas (multi-million dollar range).
Relationship management: build long-term relationships with client stakeholders, act as a trusted advisor, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience Experience: 3–5 years of successful B2B software/SaaS sales, with at least 2+ years selling into retail; startup or high-growth tech experience is preferred.
Track record: proven history of meeting/exceeding sales targets, closing complex SaaS deals with enterprise/mid-market retail clients.
Retail network: verifiable network of retail leaders across sectors; active participation in retail industry groups/events is a plus.
Domain knowledge: understanding of retail trends and pain points (omnichannel, e-commerce/in-store integration, AI/automation, supply chain, loyalty/personalization).
Skills: strong communication, consultative selling, executive-level pitching and negotiation, presentation/ storytelling, account planning, pipeline management, and CRM proficiency.
Personal attributes: self-motivated, entrepreneurial, independent contributor who collaborates well, adaptable to a startup environment.
