Responsibilities As a Risk Advisor, you will: Advise and consult with self-directed teams to help develop well-designed products, practices, and processes
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with product owners, process managers, compliance advisors, legal counsel, auditors, and other risk associates
Manage multiple tasks independently and/or through a team to meet deadlines
Coordinate work between multiple areas and engage in multiple work streams, simultaneously; leveraging/influencing business partners to drive results
Effectively work in non-binary space and bring structure to deliver on our well-managed agenda
Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems, developing permanent corrective actions
Support second line of defense assurance reviews, internal audits, and regulatory exams
Lead a team of Risk professionals responsible for working across the division
Own and lead team-wide initiatives aimed at improving team approaches, team engagement and/or our underlying risk policies and processes

​ Basic Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in risk management, product management, financial services, or technology ​ Preferred Qualifications: 2 +years of people leadership experience 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial services, technology, product management, compliance, or internal audit 3+ years of Technology and Data Risk experience or Technology or Data Control experiences Business Process Management certification, Lean or Green Belt Certification 3+ years experience with core process management tools (Swim Lane, FMEA, RACI) Professional certification (. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Risk ManagerRichmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
