We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Photo Retoucher to execute precise image edits that ensure brand consistency across all product photography. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for color and composition, advanced technical expertise, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Retouch product imagery, including removing dust, correcting inaccuracies, and cleaning up backgrounds
Apply compositing, create silo paths, adjust perspective, and refine lighting, shadows, and reflections
Ensure accurate color matching using product samples or references; align multiple image angles to create cohesive sets
Conduct image quality checks prior to submission for review
Collaborate with the Director of Photo to meet brand standards across deliverables
Execute quick and accurate file manipulations as needed
Maintain organized digital assets, consistent naming conventions, and adherence to file structure standards
Understand requirements for both digital and print formats, including color space differences (RGB vs. CMYK)
Deliver polished final assets that align with the companys visual identity
Skills and Proficiencies
Minimum of 4 years of professional retouching experience
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Capture One
Expert-level retouching, editing, and color correction skills
Knowledge of non-destructive workflows, smart objects, and smart filters
Advanced masking, blending modes, and Dodge & Burn techniques for dimensional enhancement
Strong grasp of visual composition, photographic lighting, and Camera Raw
Understanding of tethered workflows and color profiling in Capture One
Superb color vision and attention to detail
Clear verbal and written communication
Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to take direction, respond to feedback, and adapt quickly
Familiarity with AI-powered tools for retouching and workflow automation (e.g., Generative Fill, Luminar AI, MidJourney, Runway ML)
Ability to create complex multi-image composites
Consistent use of structured file naming and asset organization per studio protocols
Awareness of opportunities to streamline workflows using batch automation and AI tools
