POSITION SUMMARY:
Achieve the department's sales and marketing objectives through the effective management of the chain store sales operations.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
-Primary performance accountability is to deliver retail/chain volume targets (volume/net price/mc), deliver labor budget, and increase distribution of authorized items.
-Develop and maintain merchandising standards.
-Monitor performance objectives of District Managers.
-Execute all authorized promotions.
-Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, review weekly discount and promotional files.
-Establish volume and performance objectives for the department. Develop programs that incent performance to meet specific brand/package objectives.
-Develop strong key contact rapport at retail/chain accounts.
-Maintain adequate staffing levels in merchandising and sales department.
-Motivate, train and direct employees to achieve individual goals and objectives.
-Directs a staff of sales and administrative personnel including hiring, training and performance management.
-Provides assistance to sales reps with customer relations strategies/issues.
-Conduct required supervisory performance evaluations.
-Promote inter-departmental cooperation.
-Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company's available services, product line and pricing structure and sells additional services as appropriate to existing customers.
-Develops and maintains an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly.
-Implements mandated price increases.
-Completes all required sales reports in a timely fashion.
-Continues sales and industry training.
-Maintain productive relationships with union business agents to resolve labor issues, ensure contract compliance, and support organizational objectives.
-Performs other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and four years successful sales and/or sales management experience.
Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
Experience developing comprehensive strategies, business and sales plans, and schedules.
Three years experience recruiting, hiring, leading, and managing performance for an outside sales team.
We offer a competitive salary of $100-120k. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Six (6) days of sick leave; two (2) weeks of vacation accrued throughout the year; nine (9) Company Paid Holidays and a 401K Plan with employer match.
