Join our dynamic team as a Retail Team Member! In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our store is well-merchandised and welcoming for customers. You'll be responsible for stocking products, managing the register, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 | Year 3 - $19.00 | Year 4 - $19.00 | Year 5 - $20.00 Duties and Responsibilities: As a Retail Team Member, you will: Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.). Process customer purchases and maintain general cleanliness in the store. Provide exceptional customer service, helping customers with their shopping experience. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with management. Offer feedback on products and inventory to enhance store operations. Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy. Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses. Comply with company policies while maintaining the confidentiality of documents and data. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: This position requires: Ability to stock merchandise, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds. Occasional sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking. Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: At least 18 years of age. Strong customer service skills. Efficient cash register operation skills. Capability to operate store equipment safely. Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Compliance with state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus, but not required.
