RETAIL TEAM LEAD

We are looking for assisting the management team with the day-to-day operations of the Retail Store, including both the production activities and the retail sales floor. This includes pricing, loading/unloading trucks, customer/donor service, cashiering, stocking, merchandising, inventory control and record keeping. The Team Lead is also responsible with the overall production, efficiency, housekeeping standards, white board updates, upholding and maintaining safety standards, loss prevention protocols as well as coordination and participation of merchandise flow. Additionally, the Team Lead is responsible for clearly defining roles, responsibilities and requirements for all employees according to management directives holding each employee accountable by setting specific performance expectations, providing the necessary training, direct follow up as well as providing/receiving feedback.
Team Lead may be reassigned to any of the three Retail Store locations as deemed necessary by business operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage Day-to-Day Activities Within the Store:
Assists management with overall operations of the Store including ensuring store opening and closing procedures are being followed
Ensure compliance with all Store policies including but not limited to reporting theft or misuse of company property or other illegal activities.
Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production and closing operations including weekends and holidays when necessary
Resolve customer complaints in a fair and impartial matter, referring all unsettled disputes to the store manager
Supervise and train retail employees in all areas of the Store
Assist in performing daily administrative/clerical functions of the store operations and cash transactions
Monitor sales transactions associated with purchases and ensure proper sales procedures are followed by sales associates/cashiers
Maintain store appearance and expectations according to housekeeping check list
Maintain a professional appearance
Complies with all store safety and security procedures
Assists in line-level function as needed (e.G., sales, receiving, processing, merchandising)
Adhere to work schedule
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist to oversee the production process for all donations, functions, inventory control and adherence to the procedures for receiving and processing
Maintain a neat and orderly store that is properly equipped and supplied to meet all budgetary requirements
Attends work meetings as scheduled
Works with management in regards to overseeing CSR program and volunteers; verifying paperwork, orientation and job assignment. Assess knowledge and skills of volunteers, assigning roles and training as necessary
Create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers
Communicates daily to issues to manager
Assist customer and donors including all complaints or issues
Works with staff to maintain a smooth-running operation and resolve conflicts.
Assists in completing Daily Safety walks in store to ensure customer, employee and volunteer safety
Notify Store staff of store and productions goals, assigning daily duties to ensure goals are met
Maintaining a consistent open dialog with all staff
2. Maintain Record
Monitors housekeeping log
Tracking of CSR & volunteer hours
Verifies data tracking of donation records
Daily closeout of cash drawers and makes deposits
3. General Responsibilities
Assist the management team with daily operations and staffing responsibilities
Train new staff and current staff members new policies and programs
Conduct team huddles
Update whiteboard and have discussion around budget and revenue
Qualified candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and the ability to multi-task are required. The Store Team Lead must be able to work with diverse individuals and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a retail environment.
Must have demonstrated independent responsibility for program management and achieving desired results.
Must have experience supervising staff.
High School diploma
