Join our team as a Retail Store Sales Associate, a key role in ensuring the success of our retail operations. In this position, you'll have the opportunity to engage directly with both wholesale and retail customers, helping them identify their needs and providing tailored recommendations for Sherwin-Williams products. You will be instrumental in resolving customer concerns efficiently, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, and staying current with our product features. Ensuring our store and products adhere to high standards of quality and presentation is also a part of your role. Your responsibilities will include achieving outstanding customer service while also meeting sales targets for the store. This part-time position offers a competitive starting pay of $16.40 per hour and includes eligibility for health benefits such as prescription savings and virtual doctor visits, retirement benefits, generous time off including vacation and holidays, and much more. This position will be based at Store #3265 located at 20200 LaGrange Road, Frankfort, IL 60423. You may also assist at nearby locations as needed. Key Responsibilities: Deliver excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction. Assist customers in person and over the phone by understanding their needs and showcasing suitable products and services. Build trust-based relationships with retail and wholesale customers. Accurately process sales transactions in line with company policies. Aim to meet sales goals consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Maintain detailed work order files and product formulas. Retrieve products from sales floor or warehouse as required. Mix and tint products according to customer specifications. Stock shelves and set up visual displays. Ensure cleanliness of store equipment. Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks as needed. Maintain assigned areas in a presentable and organized condition. Stay informed about product offerings and discuss available options with customers. Adhere to inventory control processes. Propose ideas for improving sales. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Must be legally eligible to work without requiring sponsorship. Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends. If currently employed with Sherwin-Williams, must have a performance rating of at least meets expectations. If currently employed with Sherwin-Williams, must have completed required HR training courses. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service roles. Prior experience selling paint and related products. Experience operating mixing and tinting equipment. Ability to communicate in more than one language. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
