For more information, visit us at www.vanotis.com Responsibilities Lead by example by working the retail floor with teammates; help with opening/closing, engaging with guests, cashing out customers, stocking products, managing inventory and product shelf life, building gifts, packing products, keeping the store clean and in good order. Coach and train teammates to ensure outstanding customer service is provided at all times. Motivate retail associates to increase store sales through active and friendly interactions with customers, offering samples, and providing helpful information about products, promotions, and rewards program. Ensure a welcoming atmosphere and great shopping experience for all guests by making sure the store presents itself in an attractive and inviting way, and customers are welcomed by friendly associates. Ensure that retail sales objectives and goals are understood and met; help setting up incentive programs. Provide frequent feedback about products, customers and any staff issues. Constructively address staffing issues immediately; assist with hiring, firing and scheduling associates. Work with factory to schedule planned store deliveries for candy, packing material, supplies, etc. Suggest ideas on how to improve products, services, store presentation, processes and documentation. Maintain proper knowledge of products, sales, promotions, policies and procedures. Support other retail locations as needed.
Customer Service Answer store phone calls and incoming emails. Take and process retail phone orders. Get orders ready for in-store, curbside pickup, or local delivery. Help processing webstore orders. Prepare, pack and ship online orders by mail carrier. Help with B2B customer service and order processing as needed. Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications Friendly and dependable retail and customer service professional with retail management experience. Experienced and customer-centric hands-on leader with excellent work ethics. Self-motivated team player not afraid of wearing many different hats in a small company environment. Able to receive constructive criticism and strive to improve areas of weakness. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Computer-savvy (Windows, Microsoft Office, POS); knowledge of webstore and shipping platform a plus. Quick learner, able to multi-task well under pressure in a fast-paced seasonal environment. Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis; ability to be on feet all day. Must love chocolate/candy and be willing to taste samples frequently for quality control purposes.
Hours, Schedule & Physical Requirements Must be able to work retail hours (up to 8pm), including Saturdays, and certain Sundays. Must be flexible with weekly schedule; depending on the time of year, it can vary. Anywhere between 32 and 60+ hours per week. Must be able to work a significant amount of overtime during candy holidays (weeks leading to Christmas, Valentines, and Easter), including weekends. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
