JOB SUMMARY In the Retail Store Leader position, you will recruit, hire, train, and manage store personnel to achieve sales goals, maintain budget controls, and safeguard company assets while pursuing growth opportunities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and performance standards. Recruit, interview, and hire high-quality employees to meet in-store needs. Train and develop an effective sales team. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to staff and enforce company policies. Implement company initiatives to meet established standards. Conduct monthly performance reviews. Recognize talent and develop employees for career growth. Oversee daily store operations comprehensively. Supervise loss prevention practices effectively. Plan weekly staffing schedules in line with policy. Deliver a fun and engaging experience for all customers. Resolve customer issues effectively. Handle bank deposits responsibly. Understand and promote the Journeys culture among the team. JOB REQUIREMENTS Prior retail management experience is preferred. 1-2 years of retail sales experience is necessary. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. Desire to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting. Willingness to learn and adapt. Completion of training leading to a Manager in Training position or equivalent. Ability to work 45 hours per week. Availability for night and weekend shifts. Physical ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to stand for long periods.
