Job Title: Retail Store Design Manager Client Location: Remote (PST hours) Starting: 10/06/2025 Salary/Pay Rate: $60.00 - $62.00/hour Firm, non-negotiable: No Hours: Full-time Duration: 6+ months with possibility for extension Job Description: The Retail Store Design Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the design of our retail spaces across various concepts, including new stores, relocations, fixture designs, and remodels. This role is essential for enhancing customer experience through innovative and functional store design. Manage new and remodel store projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution. Review project details for design feasibility and prepare comprehensive packages for executive approval. Oversee a network of external architects and consultants to meet project expectations. Maintain a deep understanding of brand design standards to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborate with construction and procurement teams to meet project timelines and budgets. Serve as a design expert for partners in visual merchandising, IT, and store operations. Articulate design intentions clearly to non-technical stakeholders and provide exceptional service. Prepare and present design packages at the executive level. Work with finance to assess project performance and set future design goals. Administer architectural documents and materials efficiently. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial architecture, preferably in retail. Skilled in reading architectural and material shop drawings. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office. Willingness to travel to job sites 2-4 times per month. Comprehensive knowledge of design principles and materials. Competencies: A passion for design and problem-solving in retail environments. Excellent communication skills at all management levels. Strong project management and time management capabilities. Adept at thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven context. Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to processes. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 - $62/hour, based on factors such as education, relevant experience, and location.
