Overview
It is the responsibility of the Retail Stock Associate to handle: receiving, processing, preparing, delivering, stocking of merchandise in retail outlets, delivery, and stock of operating supplies in retail outlets and to assist with dsd vendor check-in. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
- Counts, inspects, tickets and prepares merchandise upon delivery in order to transport it to retail stores and storage rooms
- Apply sensor devices to merchandise as needed
- Transports merchandise between retail stores, retail distribution center and main warehouse
- Writes merchandise salvages and merchandise transfers for the retail outlets
- Stocks and replenishes merchandise on sales floor following all department and visual merchandising standards
- Ensures to replenish and restock the shelves and racks of the stores. Maintains stores merchandised: folds, hangs, and places merchandise located in stock room and on sales floor
- Must maintain the Retail Distribution Center and Store Stock Rooms in a clean, orderly, and organized state
- Ensure all items are priced, ticketed and displayed properly
- Prepares damaged merchandise for store manager
- Communicates merchandise and supply inventory needs to management
- Assist in preparing for and conducting physical inventory and cycle counts
- Ability to handle POS Cash Handling in retail outlets, as needed Perform all duties, as requested, deemed necessary for the success of the department Responsibilities/Qualifications
- One- year previous retail and / or stock experience preferred
- Must be able to lift, push and pull merchandise
- Must be detail oriented, strong communication skills and be well organized
