Vision for the Role: The Retail Specialist is responsible for assisting the Retail Supervisor and Retail Coordinator in all levels of operations of Hume Apparel and Supply Co while working in a team environment to see that the mission of the Organization is furthered through effective and efficient use of financial resources.

The Role: 

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of year-round store operations.  
  • Assist in receiving/ monitoring inventory levels, facilities and other assets to ensure and meet customer demand 
  •  Facilitation of order receiving and dispersion between four storage facilities 
  •  Keep necessary items needed to run daily operations stocked and ready for use 
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the store, storage rooms and surrounding areas 
  • Provide consistent visual appeal for the storefront by ensuring implementation of visual merchandising 
  • Create and reinforce a customer service culture within the store, ensuring that service is prompt, knowledgeable and that customer expectations are met. 
  • Work cash register when required

  • Strong organizational skills with special regard to detail involving numbers 
  • Strong personal/relational skills; some of the job is running a cash register 
  • Current in general office technology; computer literacy in word processing, Excel Spreadsheets, Google Apps, Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and Hume Lake’s communication systems (telephone and radio) 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions. 
  • Willing to take direction and instruction with a positive attitude. 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; maybe on uneven or rugged terrain. 

  • Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions. 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, increased amounts of weight may be required. 

  • Must be able to live at high altitude and in small living quarters.

Salary:  $16.50, Hourly, 29 Hours/Week.
