This position is responsible for interacting with store visitors, providing exceptional customer service and inventory organization, taking orders, packaging, tracking shipping, while also handling the processing of electronic transactions. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Swimm with Timm currently operates through Choice Fitness' Peabody, Methuen, and Salisbury locations. Responsibilities Greets and provides customer service at the shop location or for online retail orders Demonstrates and explains merchandise, consults to understand the customer's needs and preferences, selects and suggests options suitable based on available merchandise Answers customer's questions about available merchandise, ordering, or tracking Operates and processes orders and electronic payments through point-of-sale system Maintains an accurate record of inventory in storage and promptly prepares sales orders for shipment, ensuring timely sales order fulfillment for customer satisfaction Required Qualifications Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills 1-3 years retail or customer service experience Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and Google apps Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold High School Diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of retail or customer service experience Schedule 20-25 hours per week Either 9:00am to 1:00pm OR 2:00pm to 7:30pm Split on Saturdays for 8:00am to 4:30pm Work Environment This job will be performed in both a retail store and warehouse environment. Physical Demands Ability to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach for prolonged periods Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, dependent upon the season Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds May use carts, dollies, and other gear to move items around May be required to go up and down stairs where applicable About Timm Swimm Inc. dba Danvers YMCA Dolfins: We are a coach-owned YMCA-affiliated team out of the North Shore of Massachusetts. The Danvers YMCA Dolfins collaborate with both the Danvers Community YMCA swim lesson program and the local Swimm with Timm program to provide swimmers with a more comprehensive swim team experience. The swim lesson program curriculum is designed to provide swimmers with a deeper understanding of proper swimming technique. Swimmers come to the program with a strong foundation of skills, and the program is designed to develop swimmers through a technique-centered focus, transforming them into strong swimmers at every level of development, from Age Group to Seniors. About YOU: Our employees have the opportunity to be trained anywhere from a swim instructor to a swim coach. You love being in the water and educating kids of all ages Instructors should have a minimum of two years' group childcare, teaching, or coaching experience and be willing to obtain CPR, first aid, and lifesaving certifications within the first six months of employment. We are also looking for professional coaches that have strong experience working with Age Group swimmers, with Junior and Senior level swimmer experience preferred. Time will be spent on deck coaching and running dry land practices as directed by the Head Coach. Must have or be willing to obtain USA Swimming and YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming and Diving certifications. Exercise science or physical fitness background is a plus.
