We are seeking a Retail Sales Representative who will play a vital role in inspiring customers throughout their culinary journey. As a Retail Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional customer experiences that align with our service standards. Proactively engaging with customers to identify their needs and support product selection. Keeping up-to-date with product knowledge through training and available resources. Working collaboratively with a high-performing team to meet and exceed sales goals. Sharing information about our product offerings, gift registries, and cooking classes. Demonstrating products upon customer request or manager direction. Adhering to all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures. Maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. Processing a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently through our POS system. Ensuring proper pricing integrity and stocking the sales floor according to visual standards. Recording work hours accurately in compliance with company policy. Demonstrating excellent communication skills with customers and team members. Monitoring safety risks and notifying the Manager on Duty when necessary. Essential Functions: Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members and customers. Capacity to remain stationary for extended periods while engaging with customers. Ability to navigate the store, assisting customers and retrieving merchandise as needed. Physical ability to demonstrate and replenish merchandise, including lifting up to 35 lbs. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience and Qualifications: 1 year of retail sales experience is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Proficiency in POS systems is required.
