About the Role As a Retail Sales Representative at J.McLaughlin, you will be the embodiment of our brand, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sales and cultivating relationships. Key Responsibilities: Act as a Brand Ambassador, fostering strong relationships with clients and the community. Provide top-notch customer service to ensure a friendly and customer-centric retail experience. Leverage product knowledge to effectively drive sales and make informed recommendations to customers. Utilize client outreach techniques and tools to keep customers updated on events and new product arrivals. Support store operations by completing daily tasks and maintaining your assigned areas. Actively contribute to building a culture of kindness focused on the customer and team. Stay informed about current merchandise, pricing, and promotions, and share this knowledge with clients. Employ effective selling techniques to overcome objections and close sales successfully. Participate in store events and trunk shows to strengthen our local brand reputation. Accurately use the POS system to enhance the shopping experience. Organize and prioritize daily tasks while ensuring customer satisfaction remains the top priority. Assist management with merchandising the sales floor and maintaining visual standards. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and take initiative in resolving any issues. Collaborate and share best practices with peers across markets. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professionalism standards. Support opening and closing procedures and fulfill key holder responsibilities in management’s absence. Lead by example, demonstrating integrity and accountability at all times. Skills & Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and demonstrating accountability. Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards customer interactions. Reliable and professional with high energy and results-driven approach. Adaptable, quick-thinking, and skilled in problem-solving. Able to multi-task while keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront. Availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and able to lift up to 30 pounds.
