This role focuses on driving product distribution, display execution, and revenue growth across key retail accounts within the assigned territory. The Retail Sales Manager will work closely with distributor partners and retail teams to expand brand visibility and optimize shelf presence. Operating in a fast-paced consumer packaged goods environment, this position offers the opportunity to directly impact market share and support exciting product launches. The role involves both strategic planning and hands-on fieldwork, ideal for a motivated sales professional looking to grow in the CPG industry.
Accountabilities Plan and execute innovation launches, retail programs, and market blitzes to maximize sales impact. Manage product sales and distribution across the top accounts in the territory, achieving key performance indicators on case volume, displays, and new placements. Maintain detailed account call histories and optimize daily schedules using CRM tools. Analyze sales data monthly to identify opportunities and address underperforming accounts. Build and sustain strong partnerships with distributor sales teams and retail partners. Develop new retail accounts and deepen existing relationships to increase brand presence. Monitor retail execution and communicate accomplishments and follow-ups with distributor and branch managers. Ensure effective product display placement and audit account execution during visits. Support consumer and retail marketing initiatives in collaboration with the field marketing team. Requirements 0-2 years of professional sales or distributor experience, preferably in the Food & Beverage or CPG sector. Ability to lift cases weighing 10-35 pounds and to place products on overhead shelving. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel within the territory. Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods during store visits. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor. Creative approach to account management and business expansion. Ability to analyze sales data and develop account strategies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
