Retail Sales Lead The Retail Sales Lead plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience while supporting daily store operations. This position serves as a brand ambassador, driving sales performance, fostering customer relationships, and supporting the Retail Leadership Team in achieving operational and financial goals. The Retail Sales Lead acts as a trusted team leader, responsible for opening or closing the store, mentoring team members, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and securely. Core functions include: Create an engaging and personalized customer experience by understanding vehicle accessory needs and offering tailored product recommendations. Drive sales through expert product knowledge, upselling, and cross-selling aftermarket accessories and services. Serve as a point of escalation to resolve customer issues promptly and professionally. Promote loyalty programs, store services (e.g., installations), and ongoing promotions to increase customer retention and revenue. Act as a liaison between customers and the installation team to ensure product readiness and clear understanding of installation requirements. Leadership & Keyholding includes: Will have opening and closing responsibilities and ensuring store security. Support leadership with daily store functions, including scheduling, visual merchandising, and shift delegation. Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members to support their development and performance. Support training efforts for new hires and reinforce operational and service standards. Operations & Compliance includes: Assist with inventory management including receiving, stocking, merchandising, and conducting cycle counts. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant retail environment aligned with safety standards and visual guidelines. Ensure all store policies, procedures, and controls are followed consistently. Monitor KPIs such as sales, customer satisfaction, conversion rates, and average transaction value, and provide input on improvement strategies. Community Engagement & Brand Awareness includes: Represent the brand at local events and assist with community engagement efforts to promote store traffic and awareness. Support initiatives that enhance the store's connection to local automotive communities and car culture. Collaboration & Communication includes: Communicate regularly with the Retail Leadership Team on customer feedback, market trends, product needs, and competitor activity. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to drive performance, culture, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Requirements include: High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred. 3+ years of retail sales experience required; automotive aftermarket or specialty retail experience is a strong plus. Passion for the automotive industry and strong knowledge of vehicle accessories, modifications, and product trends. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Required Licenses include: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Visual acuity includes: Close vision for reading product labels, POS screens, and technical information. Ability to distinguish colors, shapes, and product details for accurate sales and stocking. Visual acuity to assess vehicle accessory fitment or product compatibility. Awareness of surroundings for safety when working around vehicles, equipment, and moving parts. Working conditions include: The worker is subject to a retail store setting with exposure to both customer-facing sales floor and stockroom/warehouse areas. Possible exposure to vehicle exhaust, dust, grease, and cleaning agents. Moderate to high noise levels from customer activity, tools, or installation services. Interaction with a wide variety of customers, team members, and service technicians. Work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs. Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and adaptability to shifting priorities.
