General Summary: The Cashier is vital in handling transactions involving sales and returns of merchandise, while also providing exceptional customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Customer Service: Greet customers upon entry and thank them when they leave, using their names when possible. Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor and handle checkout lines swiftly. Answer customer inquiries and communicate issues that require management's assistance. Build knowledge of store products to assist customers effectively. Register Operations: Adhere to all cash register procedures and ensure accurate balancing of the register drawer. Participate in store meetings and support any promotions at the cash registers. Front End Appearance and Upkeep: Keep checkout areas and entrances tidy. Restock impulse items and ensure promotional materials are available. Report any needs for merchandise returns and help maintain organized displays. We are looking for friendly and outgoing team members ready to welcome customers and assist them. Previous hardware experience is a plus, but we offer comprehensive training.
