Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication and merchandising strategies while maintaining the store's appearance and inventory. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote products effectively. Stock shelves and ensure inventory is well-maintained and replenished as needed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with pricing adjustments when necessary. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Experience with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Knowledge of retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base. Proficient in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Previous experience in grocery store settings is preferred but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative when needed.
