This role is pivotal to our retail operations, where you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns swiftly, and ensuring customer satisfaction while keeping up-to-date with product features. Located at Store #708196, 521 Mt. Hood St., The Dalles, OR, you will play a vital part in achieving sales goals through excellent customer service. Responsibilities include: Delivering outstanding customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Determining customer needs in-person and over the phone, recommending suitable products and services. Building trustful relationships with customers. Accurately processing sales transactions per company policies. Aiming to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals. Maintaining organized work order files and precise product formulas. Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as required. Tinting and mixing products according to customer specifications. Restocking shelves and arranging displays. Cleaning store equipment and maintaining store standards. Assisting with inventory control and suggesting sales improvement strategies. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements: At least eighteen (18) years of age. Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship. Valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion. Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred qualifications include having a High School diploma or GED, at least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or retail environment, and experience with paint and related products.
