Overview Scope of Responsibilities: Work under direct supervision, following standard procedures to successfully complete assigned tasks. Job Summary: As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing a seamless checkout experience to customers, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the purchase process. Responsibilities Job Duties: Efficiently scan and process customer purchases through the POS register, handling cash, checks, and credit transactions with accuracy. Provide correct change and issue receipts to customers. Follow end-of-shift procedures for closing the register. Seek assistance as needed to maintain high customer service standards. Help customers with large purchases as needed, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Restock inventory from in-store stock and incoming shipments. Maintain a clean and professional checkout area, performing general housekeeping duties. Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the store, including restrooms, break rooms, and entryways. Replenish supplies needed at the register promptly. Answer customer inquiries by politely greeting callers and providing necessary information. Assist in inventory management, pricing, and merchandising around the checkout area. Respond to shoplifting situations in accordance with company policy. Support the implementation of the Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising). Help order replacement products from suppliers as needed. Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise to the appropriate source. Package and prepare items for home or business delivery accurately. Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Attendance Requirements: Must be punctual and available for scheduled shifts. Experience: Preferred: 0-1 years of experience in a similar role. Special Conditions of Employment: Drug testing required. Initial and ongoing monitoring for exclusion and sanction/disciplinary measures. Adhere to any additional eligibility requirements related to the position. Compensation: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour. The final offer will be based on factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
