Job Title: Retail Sales Associate Reports To: Store Manager, Assistant Manager Pending FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Travel: Occasional travel may be needed Summary Join our team at Ace Hardware, where our mission is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time . As a Retail Sales Associate, you will engage with customers, identify their needs, and ensure satisfaction. Your goal is to create a welcoming environment rooted in gratitude, integrity, and humility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers enthusiastically and offer assistance as soon as they enter the store. Maintain a friendly and polite demeanor, ensuring that customers feel valued and appreciated. Assist customers in locating products and provide knowledgeable advice on various items. Monitor for potential shoplifting incidents and take preventative measures in line with company policy. Deliver exceptional customer service by being approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Wear your radio and headset for effective communication and always maintain a clean and professional appearance. Resolve customer issues and provide solutions where necessary. Stay informed about ongoing promotions and special sales. Update pricing and promotional materials as directed by management. Assist with carrying out large or heavy items for customers. Perform various store tasks including screening repairs, cutting pipe, mixing paint, and making keys. Handle customer complaints with professionalism or escalate to management as needed. Follow all company policies and procedures diligently. Collaborate effectively with team members to create a positive working environment. Attend trainings and meetings scheduled by the company. Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. Support the promotional campaigns for Ace Rewards and local initiatives. Assist with unloading new inventory and restocking shelves. Maintain inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Customer satisfaction-driven mindset. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well in a team with strong communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills are a plus. Must be at least 18 years of age. Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
